Josh sits down with Revision Skis co-founder and Bill Wanrooy. Revision Skis, based out of Denver, CO is a ski brand that focuses on freestyle skiing but, they are far from your average brand. After finding the proper materials and multiple prototypes he had found a design that lived up to the task while basing the design off a sweatshirt that he’s used for years without fail. Josh sits down with Taylor Henderson the founder of Nozipp Sleeping bags. Nozipp sleeping bags, based out of L.A, was started in 2014 when Taylor found himself locked in a grudge match against the zipper on his sleeping bag. Since then he’s sought to pursue and easier way to enjoy the comfort of a sleeping bag, thus creating the first no zipp, magnetic entry sleeping bag. After countless iteration he finally found the perfect recipe for a sleeping bag that will stay closed, let you dump heat when you need to, and never snag when trying to escape your camping cacoon. Slant Skis was founded in 2007 by Josh Bennett in Truckee, California, after breaking countless skis and getting fed up with the quality of skis on the current market. In 2010 they moved to their factory near Tahoe City, California, located on the Truckee River in the Lake Tahoe basin, surrounded by their favorite mountains.
Josh, moved to Truckee, CA, in 2006 from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Josh’s background is in ski coaching, carpentry, and ski tuning which has helped him make an easy transition into ski making.

Josh chats with Char Poles CEO and founder, Alex Carr. Char poles is a pole manufacturer that was created when Carr was touring in the backcountry and was in dire need of a screwdriver to adjust his bindings to fit his boots. While hiking back down he realized the potential his ski poles had for storing basic, but dire tools needed for skiing, particularly screwdrivers. Shortly after, he got to work on prototypes and eventually shaped his vision into the utility pole brand, Char Poles.
As the sport progressed and filming became a more dynamic factor in the sport, Alex added gopro/action cam attachments to his pole, which can be fully integrated into a monopod. Char Poles is still working to perfect their poles and make sure every nook and cranny of their ski poles is the epitome of optimal functionality.
