This podcast episode was originally recorded on Sept 29, 2017. Since Gilson Snow is a part of our current Ski + Snowboard giveaway we wanted to bring this episode back from the archives. We've cleaned up the audio a bit and hope that you enjoy the episode with Founder Nick Gilson talking about his journey in building Gilson Snow.

Josh sits down with Gilson Snow co-founder Nick Gilson. Nick Gilson came up with his first prototype snowboard when he was 14-years-old but, it wouldn’t be until about a decade later, in Nashville of all places, that his journey to creating the fastest growing snowboard company would truly begin. Gilson has grown from it’s humble beginnings of being ran out of a functional donkey stable and offering snowboards to creating arguably one of the most revolutionary shapes for skis and snowboards of recent years. In this episode of the ReddyYeti Podcast Nick, walks us through the ups, down, and all-arounds of what he and his team have gone through to build this huge up-and-coming company.

Josh sits down with Neverquit Apparel founder Leo Chen. Neverquit Apparel are the makers of the most comfortable socks that are designed to last. In a lot of ways Leo didn’t find the sock business, the sock business found him. Neverquit was born out of necessity when Chen found himself searching for the most comfortable socks to remedy having to put up with horrible uncomfortable shoes. It’s safe to say, his search wasn’t exactly fruitful, and with that he took up the prerogative to fill that gap in the sock world and create the perfect sock.

Josh sits down with Standard Luggage founder Ryan Chong. Standard Luggage is a travel gear brand that makes ultimate travel gear designed to answer all your typical travel issues (aka no more exploding packs and luggage) In 2014 Ryan spent a good bit of time traveling throughout Asia. Only armed with a hiking backpack, he made due with lugging his belongings from hostel to hostel but had to deal with his pack constantly feeling like it was bursting at the seams. If he needs something from his pack, he essentially had to unpack everything and repack it up just to find the item he was looking for-- a bit of a rough experience logistics wise. Fast forward two years later, Canada starts charging checked bag fees. That was the final straw. He needed something that he could use as a sufficient carry-on and he needed it NOW. His solution?... A backpack specifically designed for air travel, to bypass checked bag fees and keep all of your belongings easily accessible. Now you can save your cash for souvenirs (or, I don’t know, maybe another couple cocktails on the plane).

Josh sits down with Allett Wallets co-owner Adam Muscat. Allett makes Ultra Thin Wallets and leather accessories. You may have heard of them already as they happen be the pioneers of the ultra thin wallet trend, which they introduced in 1995. Surprisingly enough, Adam and his co-owner and sister, Bridget Muscat got their entrepreneurial spirit from being involved in their parents pasta manufacturing business. They grew up helping out out making organic noodles, going to trade shows, and sitting in on business meetings helping spark their passion for business. So, how does one go from pasta to wallets? It wouldn't be until a fateful plane ride that Adam and his father would find themselves sitting next to the original founders of Allett Wallets. One thing led to another and three months later they bought Allett and have building it since to the leather carry good titan it’s slowly rising to be.
